NX 985-A is a three-way active speaker masterfully engineered from the ground up to deliver stellar audio performance for Bands, DJs, Clubs, and Rental Companies. The best-in-class combination of RCF premium transducers and a two-channel 2100W amplifier produce coherent 100° x 60° coverage for the listening area with up to 138 dB SPL of distortion-free sound. The three-way design features a 1.75" neodymium compression driver with a constant directivity waveguide, 8" cone midrange on a phase-coherent waveguide, and a 15" high power woofer. Used as a stand-alone speaker, flown, coupled with another NX 985-A or combined with the RCF SUB 8008-AS subwoofer, the NX 985-A delivers extreme SPL output at all frequencies with high performance and reliability. The rugged, tour-ready, high-quality all-plywood cabinet is easy to carry and secure to install using the dedicated rigging points available

Power that moves

The most powerful amplifier in its class. RCF's improvements in transducer design make them stronger and more powerful. With 2100W of power, the 2-channel NX 9 Class-D amplifier is 50% more powerful than previous models, able to manage extreme sound pressure levels with an ultra-fast attack, realistic transient response, and very low heat loss. NX 9 is energy-efficient so there's no need for a cooling fan - the amplifier is attached to a solid aluminum heat exchanger in the rear of the cabinet - with no moving parts. The input circuit features a new low distortion design with an advanced safety limiter, maintaining the true character of the input signal at all levels. All NX 9 amplifiers are designed according to EN62368-1 for maximum safety and present a Switch Mode Power Supply section joining high-efficiency with minimum weight.

Superior transducers

Lightweight and powerful, RCF drivers are a reference in high performance. All transducers are designed by RCF engineers in Italy for maximum reliability and perfectly matched components.

The extended clarity of the 1.75" compression driver features a neodymium magnet for improved current handling and reduced weight. The best-in-class peek dome and the Polyamide/Kapton voice coil handle extreme power levels with very low distortion.

The midrange section adds detail and vocal clarity with a high-power 8" cone midrange on a constant directivity waveguide.

One high-power 15" low-frequency woofer with a new advanced transducer design gains more stability over higher currents, with less distortion, fast transient response, and better heat handling

Bass Motion Control

When searching for an extended bass with enhanced performance, RCF engineers found a way to remove the high-pass filter, replacing it with a forward-thinking approach. Introducing BMC (Bass Motion Control), the newly advanced woofer excursion management feature. The speaker equipped with BMC can handle the lowest audible frequencies without affecting the woofer stability, with extended linearity and better sound integrity.

The BMC method works by creating a complete map of the dynamic behavior of the woofer, to generate a custom algorithm that only limits over-excursions. This gives total freedom of signal reproduction to the transducer. When high-pass filters normally protect the woofer motion from becoming destructive but change the phase behavior, the new BMC algorithm breaks conventional rules

New perspective on linearity

RCF speakers are designed using a proprietary and advanced digital FiR technology, conceived to deliver transparent sound, absolute clarity, and perfect imaging to the listener.

The special FiRPHASE filters allow for coherent distribution of sound for all listeners without phase distortions, ensuring minimum latencies in the system.

NX 985-A is a big-sized main system for highly demanding applications. Its flexibility makes it a smart choice for a wide range of live sound applications. The rugged, high-quality all-wood cabinet is easy to carry, with ergonomic handles on each side. It can be coupled for improved coverage and can also be flown or truss-mounted using the included M10 rigging points and special accessories. From the cabinet to the final texture and the rugged protective grille, NX 985-A offers maximum strength for intensive use on the road and can be used for fixed installation.

Products are normally available from stock unless stated on the product page(next to stock messaging) and are dispatched within 24 hours of receipt of your order.

Delivery to UK mainland addresses normally takes 1-3(usually 1) working days from receipt of your order by us. Delivery is made through independent carriers, for example Parcelforce. A signature is required on delivery of the product. The cut off time or next delivery is 3pm.

RETURNS & CANCELATIONS :

Arrived Damaged or Faulty- If your goods arrived damaged or are faulty, your first action is to inform us by email to returns@djanddiscostuff.com or telephone 01325 480507 within 7 days and preferably within 48 hours. Our Returns Department will then arrange the return of these goods and we will replace the goods at no charge or refund any money paid for the goods and postage.

If goods go faulty after a 30 day period but with in the product warranty please contact our return department and arrangements will be made for repair or sometimes replacement goods. it is the responsibility of the customer to return goods to ourselves for repair or replacement after 30 days of delivery.

Non-Faulty Goods - Non-faulty goods must be returned within 30 days after receiving the product. In the first instance please contact us by email to returns@djanddiscostuff.com or telephone 01325480507 preferably within 48 hours. Items must be returned in a unused state with all packing and parts inc manuals

Our Returns Department will then contact you with the relevant procedure. Provided the goods are received in brand new, never been used condition and with the same packaging that they left our warehouse in, we will fully refund the price of the goods. You will receive your refund within 30 days although usually much sooner.

Unless the reason for return is due to a mistake by ourselves, you will be responsible for the cost of the return postage and ensuring that we receive the goods in the above condition. We recommend using a signed-for, insured delivery method for your own peace of mind. And you maybe be charged postage costs we have paid to get the item to you in the first instance.

Refunds
Faulty Goods - All verified faulty goods will be fully refunded and we will also pay for the return postage. Please note that the verification process may mean we have to send the item back to the manufacturer. You will receive your refund within 30 days although usually much sooner.

Non-Faulty Goods - Non-faulty goods must be returned within 3 days as detailed above. Provided everything is in order we will fully refund the price of the goods including postage where paid. The return postage will not be refunded unless the reason for return is due to a mistake by ourselves.
