An obvious essential for any DJ (regardless of what stage you’re at) is a DJ mixer. Our choice – The American audio Q-D1 – is perfect for anyone starting out, it’s not too complicated to use but is still a serious bit of kit. The built in USB enabled for instant music is assignable to every channel, which supports the extra control you have for the bass and treble across each channel. Being incredibly lightweight makes it so much easier to move around.
